"...Oh." Demyx's voice was curiously flat, at least for him; he felt no more than Xigbar or Luxord did, of course, but he didn't make that fact as obvious as they did most of the time. But he didn't trust them not to mock his immediate reaction of dismay; it wasn't like it was the first time two of his friends had ditched him, although it was the first time they'd at least given him advance warning.

"You think that'll work?" he asked, merely to have something to say, although it wasn't really an unjustified question in its own right. He wasn't exactly sure either Luxord or Xigbar could pull off normality convincingly enough to get released from an institute like this - actually, he wasn't sure if any of them were supposed to get away at all.
