By the time he returned to his room, Ken found himself hovering between the realms of sleep and awake. He could hardly keep his eyes open long enough to see tonight's dinner, let alone taste it. The nurse thought it would be prudent for the child to get to bed early tonight and began nudging him toward his side of the room.

He tried to resist. There was several things he had to get accomplished as soon as humanly possible (including those notes for Ururu), but the heaviness around his eyes and head became overwhelming. Consequently, Ken crawled into bed with minimum protest and to his dismay, dozed off.
