The jackass got in a few good hits - Dean could feel warm blood starting to trickle from his nose from a lucky one - but mostly it was because he wasn't much used to getting assaulted with books as weapons, not because Slappy was a particularly good fighter.

Call him crazy, but he got the feeling that this guy wasn't used to fighting.

Dean had been waiting for him to break out the demon mojo, like that telekinesis, but Slappy seemed dead-set on a brawl in the middle of the Sun Room with a book as his weapon of choice. It didn't even matter to Dean if he'd started it in the first place. Bring it. It felt way too good suddenly to get a chance to go one-on-one with these sons of bitches, take out everything from Mom's death to Dad's and what they'd almost done to Sammy on this lazy-eyed, apple-obsessed freak. Dean fell back against the side of the sofa, but immediately pushed himself off it, lunging for Slappy again and just narrowly missing getting brained by that damn book in the process.

He hoped Slappy choked on that friggen apple.
