"With Haku...?" she repeated it with some confusion, though it was gone in a moment. It was strange to think that so many people she knew ought to be dead were alive and well here and what was most disturbing was the fact that she had no logic, no hard facts to explain any of it.

"How is he doing? I haven't um... seen him for a while," she said lamely, realizing she probably shouldn't have paused, but found no other way to correct it. Of course she hadn't seen him for a while, the last time she'd seen him was on that bridge out in the mist country.
