"Sorry, Anise. Can that wait a minute?" As helpful as Ed had been, Luke had no doubt there was way more to all of this, and Anise could fill his head with it until he couldn't think. Somehow it was always like that. Every new impossible fact made his stomach churn; missing memories, missing friends, different world entirely, no fonons, evil institutions and apparently no way out. He'd listen to more of it, but he wasn't exactly looking forward to it.
