The day hadn't really gotten better, but Peter hadn't expected it to. Even getting to talk to someone like Roland, who he liked, and possibly getting to help out Renamon - it didn't defeat the fact that it was his fault that someone was dead.
He decided that it didn't matter if Elle had been "worth" saving or not. It had still been his responsibility at that moment, and he had still fallen short. And Sylar was now going to be stronger because of it, and more able to murder other, maybe more innocent people.
It left him feeling kind of queasy, and Peter was regretting that he'd eaten lunch in the first place. He was dragging his feet by the time he made it to the Game Room, but he felt the tiniest bit better when there was no sign of Sylar in the room. He didn't know if he could stop himself from outright attacking the man if he saw him now.
Instead, he spotted Tyki, who was someone who had seen Sylar's worst side up close. The man was playing with a deck of cards and looking like he had when they'd first met in the showers, rather than the more cleaned-up image he presented at night. Peter was still puzzled about that, but at least now he could tell the difference.
"Hey," he said as he walked over to the man. Peter wasn't sure if he was up for any sort of game, but he sat down anyway.
