After talking to Sakura, and getting a bit of an idea of Naruto's state of mind by listening, Kakashi had planned to go to the library. It wasn't that he didn't trust his nurse, exactly. Kakashi would just rather check for himself, just to be certain that none of Jiraiya's novels were on the shelves. But before he could make it, he spotted a certain grumpy missing-nin who had apparently picked up the interest of another admirer. That seemed to be the story of Sasuke's life.

But since he was alone, Kakashi took the opportunity to go over to Sasuke for a little chat. There were things that he didn't want to say in front of the others, after all, but that needed to be said.

And besides, this was the first time in over three years that he'd get to talk to the kid. Maybe one of the last. And Kakashi didn't like the idea of wasting the opportunity.

"Well, good morning, Sasuke." Moving in front of the ninja, Kakashi appeared perfectly casual and relaxed, to the average observer. But in truth the ninja was as ready as he always was to react to any sudden movement in his direction, be it from someone not involved in the conversation, or from Sasuke himself. He didn't want Sasuke to think he could just get up and walk away, after all. And without the luxury of binding string to keep him tied down, Kakashi would do what he had to.

He doubted Sasuke was any more keen to listen to a lecture now than he had been back in Konoha, after all.
