Subaru felt terrible for thinking it, but it was something of a relief when the nurse came and separated him from Hokuto. He wanted to be able to comfort his sister in her grief, he truly did, but he could hardly think through his pain at the moment, and her crying on his shoulder wasn't exactly helping his state of mind. Still, it was a selfish thing to think, and so Subaru was even more glum than he'd started out when the nurse wheeled him into the Sun Room and left him in a sunny spot near the message board.
... Maybe he should post something on the board, about last night. Not saying anything about who or what had attacked him, of course, but at least he should properly thank the woman he vaguely remembered healing him. But not knowing her name, or even really what she looked like, Subaru wasn't sure what to say to get her attention. Still thinking about the problem, Subaru started to doze off in his wheelchair, exhausted already.
