"I couldn't forget," he evenly answered, and it was perfectly true. The light show between the two of them hadn't been something that Roland could easily forget, even if he'd wanted to. Part of him had wanted to stride into the conflict and eat them both, consume their power and make it his own. A part of him still wanted to; the demon that was never satisfied cried out for the flesh of those who were different, special, unique.
