Like any good detective, Shinichi knew how to keep a clear head. Eye on the ball, always one step ahead. Being able to multitask was in the job description, but so was focus. And right now, he was very focused.

Dante...Defoe...Dickens...Dickens...Dickens...Dickens...Dickens...Dickens...Doyle...Doyle!

The library's selection was limited at best, but at least they had the good taste to include Conan Doyle, even if it was just two books. After all that had happened in the past twenty-four hours, it would be nice to unwind with some Holmes. Gain perspective from the master himself.

He hadn't really expected to see the mystery section of the library already occupied.

"Hey," he said distractedly, reaching for The Memoirs of Sherlock Holmes in case Hattori wanted to make a grab for it. "What's up?"
