After a very late lunch Siegfried opted to return to the Sun Room. Although his nurse had cheerily informed him that the Arts and Crafts room would be fun and relaxing, Siegfried doubted that he would fully appreciate it (he’d never been the type to have the patience to draw a picture.) He found a comfortable chair and after picking up the cat already sleeping there and placing it gently on the floor, he sat down.

With all the cats running around in the room it made him wonder. Were they like the nurses, and transformed into vicious monsters? Looking down at the kitten, he had difficulty seeing it become one of Landel’s experiments upon nightfall.
