Leon hadn't decided yet what to do with the knife, once he had his sword. He'd thought about trading it to whoever helped him tonight, be it Seiya or someone else, as long as the trip was reasonably successful, but that sort of thing would have to wait until he had the sword in his hand. He wasn't taking any chances on the whole thing falling through, and leaving him without any kind of half-decent blade. But all he said was, "I appreciate your keeping me in the loop," which was as close to thanking anyone as he ever came voluntarily. Thanks implied a debt owed, and Leon did not intend to owe anyone anything.
