"Yes," Brainiac 5 affirmed, obviously not intending to enlighten the matter any further. It was obvious that there was no way that Xelloss would know about his people or his ancestors, but trying to explain would just lead to unnecessary complications that he didn't have time for.

Instead he merely fixed the older man with a disbelieving look, clearly doubting his assertion of how 'right' Elle had been and the dangers of the institute. However the question about if Elle had attempted to harm him in any way brought a look of annoyance to his face.

"Yes, actually," he said, not bothering to hide his feelings on the matter. "She initially attacked me for no clear reason, and her behaviour was quite... unusual." He felt his face begin to heat up again as he remembered back to what had happened the previous night. Elle's actions - first sitting on him and playing with his hair when she initially attacked him, then later pressing against him and shocking him again - were quite bizarre and hadn't been properly explained when he'd questioned her on them. And his own body's unconscious reactions were also new and inexplicable. It was confusing and irritating, as he had no idea how to begin to understand the motivations behind the actions when it appeared that Elle herself didn't know. But he was going to have to ignore it as best he could, he reminded himself. He had more important things to focus on after all.

However learning that other aliens had also been abducted here was interesting. "Then this has been going on for some time?" Brainiac 5 asked. "Whoever is behind this must have access to an impressive level of technology then." So impressive that it would taken someone with his own advanced intellect and capabilities to create it, a situation which was so unlikely to be bordering on the impossible.

And as for Xelloss's own beliefs and role, Brainiac 5 just blinked once and calmly stated; "Magic isn't real. Anything that could be considered magic has a logical, scientific explanation behind it. And no, a priest isn't on the same level at all."
