Answers were always important, but what answers did he need? Why did you betray Soul Society? Simple enough: power. Why did you betray me Because he could, probably. There were already answers, and enough of them that Kira didn't think he needed any of Gin's rationalizations to satisfy himself and his curiosity. He was about to speak again when another question sprung unbidden into his mind:

And suddenly he couldn't speak. Aizen, he knew, tried to kill her out of some sort of mercy. It was sick, but it made sense. But why did Gin do it? Why did he try to turn her against Captain Hitsugaya and force him to kill her? He could have taken care of the Captain on his own, using other people ... so why the one person closest to him? Because it would hurt the most? Because he could?

"I don't need answers," Kira said, but his voice was unsteady. "Anything you say is likely to be a lie." Or just something to try and rile him into attack, or more hate, or some sort of strange pity. Gin wasn't about to get anything out of him - not any more.
