Xelloss was a little surprised with how abrupt his new dining companion's question was, but he smiled as usual in response and answered cheerfully without hesitation, "Quite a long time!"

Well, not long for his lifetime, but long compared to most of the people here. He'd seen many patients disappear... and others arrive, as the doctor had declared earlier. "Are you a new patient?" The young man looked somewhat unassuming, a bit small in stature, but there was really no telling here. "If you spend enough time here, you'll meet quite a few unusual people. It can be rather interesting."

He paused another moment, before adding helpfully, "Incidentally, my name isn't Dwayne, it's Xelloss! For some reason, they like to call us different names."
