"I wouldn't leave you here." ZEX closed his eyes, thinking back to his conversation with DAX. One thing that he refused to relent on... if there was nothing else, at least that he knew for sure. The human Captain was his. "It'd be very irresponsible of me." And he wasn't irresponsible.

ZEX sighed again, a hand raising to cover his eye, then he seemed to catch himself and force it away. He blinked and tried to force everything to mesh back together, to stop seeing double. "Max...
