She didn't pause, only noting that the halls were empty for once. It seemed that she was one of the first out. It didn't matter in the long run. She was focused on her tasks; nothing else registered.
Finally, the broadcast they'd been waiting for. While not too cryptic, Archer had never liked riddles, but these didn't seem terribly difficult.
"The radio mentioned creative... the only thing I can think of is the Arts and Crafts room. As for the second one... morning and saints... We were in the chapel this morning, but what does she mean by 'adjacent?' An adjacent room?"
Mention of their "real" lives reminded Archer of his visitor and his mixed reaction to her. "As for the last clue, we had visitors today, so maybe there's something in the waiting rooms. But learning more about our 'real' lives could also mean the doctors offices or the main file storage upstairs."
There were so many places to choose from, and they weren't even sure if they were the right places. Plus, the night seemed to end so abruptly at the most inconvenient moment.
"What do you think?" His question was aimed more at Thursday than Sakura, since the latter wasn't as familiar with the situation, but he was open to suggestions from anyone. The obvious choice was to search the closet location first, but that didn't necessarily make it the right one.
Sakura took Thursday's hand and shook it, familiar with that custom at least. "More or less," she answered the woman, though there was still some hesitation in her voice.
The others got right to work on these "radio clues" which she supposed did add some truth to Archer's story. But this place was just a big maze to her right now, it wouldn't do any good at all to ask her where she thought any of the stuff might be. And just what kind of stuff were they expecting to find?
Sakura only shrugged her shoulders when asked, not sure how else to answer.
Thursday nodded. "What you're saying matches up with what I was thinking. Frankly, the Arts and Crafts Room is the only one where I'm almost certain there's something hidden; the other rooms mentioned are rather farther away and it might take some time to search through them before we even get close."
She paused thoughtfully. "Granted, there may be something in the Sun Room - there almost always is - but if we run, we should be able to escape it relatively unscathed."
Archer looked over his map once more and noticed something. "Wait. They mentioned learning about our real lives today. The file storage is just next to the waiting room where we had visitors today."
He couldn't believe how he failed to notice it, since it was so obvious. "It's just as close and usually less dangerous than the Sun Room."
Most of what they were talking about was gibberish to her, but she listened and made mental note of what seemed like important details. Location names, whatever they meant about 'real lives' and something about the Sun Room being dangerous.
It was kind of annoying to have to wait, but she tried to bear it as best she could. The sooner she could figure this puzzle out the better.
"That works," agreed Thursday. "We'd pass it on our way to Arts and Crafts anyway; it only makes sense for us to check there."
She didn't know how much time had passed, but it was probably best not to stand around here any longer. Nodding at the others, she turned and led the way out of the F-block.
