Claire already had her flashlight when she stepping into the hall and had decided to bring the radio along. She'd remembered there were some messages on the bulletin board saying it would come in handy. While she was a bit skeptical, she'd recognized it was Eric who'd written those notes. And she trusted Eric.
Her trust was rewarded when, while walking towards her destination, the radio turned on. She didn't stop walking, a little paranoid of being attacked at any second, but still tried to listen to everything that was being said. Not a whole lot of it made sense to her, but Claire gathered that Eric was right - there was some rivalry going on between the Intercom guy and whoever this was on the radio.
The broadcast ended and Claire was left in relative silence again. She quickened her pace, wanting to run into RC and Wesker soon.
