She closed her eyes, moving her hand out again, then hesitating, letting it hang there in the air for a beat. Quieter, she said, "I won't argue with you. I should have stayed with you. Then things would have been..." Perfect. "Better." Renamon opened her eyes, holding Rika's with her own. "Things could have gotten so much better."
She glanced to the side again, watchful of the nurses. For the first time since she'd been forced into this human body Renamon felt like herself. Like she belonged somewhere once again. "What would you have me do, Rika?"
