Ed practically had to be dragged out of the library. He'd been deprived of books for days, weeks probably and when he finally got some, they wanted him to leave?!? What the hell were these people on?
He was kinda of glad Hughes had been taken before him. He'd probably have laughed at Ed's stubbornly refusing to relinquish his book until he finished the chapter.
By the time he got to lunch, tiredness was beginning to catch up with him. Several nights without sleep and full of action were bound to take their toll. He shovelled food onto his plate and found an empty seat; hopefully he could doze off for a while once he'd finished his food. And then he wouldn't be cranky and irritable. He hoovered up half of the food from his plate and then folded his arms on top of the table, playing idly with the fortune cookie. Couldn't be bothered to open it yet. He rested his head on top of his arms and closed his eyes.
