Kenren nodded, turning in his seat to face her and leaning back against the backrest. "Yup. That's what everyone says," he replied with some amusement. "If you're used to living in a world of eternal boredom, death comes to be seen as something exciting. A chance to escape the tedium. That's at least part of why I joined the army. There was always the chance of getting killed."
