Vlad wasn't too surprised when someone he didn't know came down to sit beside him. After all, the bus was starting to fill up, and he was always on the lookout for new, intelligent allies. Thanks to the way this place deceived the eyes through altering the forms of non-humans, Vlad recognized this meant he had to accept a bit of a crap shoot on that turn, not assuming anything based on appearances and simply hoping that those he spoke with would meet his criteria for being worthwhile acquaintances.
And the new man was polite enough, although... Vlad blinked for a moment, startled. Yes, there were monsters in this place, some red bruises along the neck were no sign of... well, it could possibly be... oh, it was none of his business, anyhow. Vlad put on his best business smile and offered a hand to shake.
"I don't believe we have. A pleasure. My name is Vlad, Vlad Masters. And yours..?" Even if the man did turn out to be a waste of time, at least the trip into town promised a better view of the surrounding area through the bus windows, without the risk of wandering around like an idiot at night waiting to be attacked by monsters.
