Hanatarou had been rather startled to wake up and see the white walls of "his" room, especially when the last thing he remembered was being in the dark mine shaft and he didn't recall even returning to the building, much less going to sleep. Before he'd had too much time to be puzzled, though, the nurse had bustled in with even more strange clothing for him to wear (heavy blue pants, a dingy-looking shirt, and an odd green jacket (http://i59.photobucket.com/albums/g291/ragamuffinzx/Hoodies/P1010113.jpg)) and shooed him outside to where three buses were waiting.
Though he'd seen things like this in the human world before, he'd never actually ridden on one, and Hanatarou hesitantly clambered on board the bus to which he'd been led, tightly clutching the paper bag he'd been given against his chest. There were already several people on board, but the shinigami avoided them all and slid onto an empty seat, squeezing as far against the side of the bus as he could. Maybe nobody would notice him there.
