Her legs felt like jelly, her head felt like jelly, and as she collapsed to her knees by the wall, all Yuffie could think was that dinner was gonna have tasted a lot better going down than it was gonna coming up.
Waking up back in her room, back in the institute, was a kick in the teeth. The only saving grace was that she couldn't remember having actually thrown up. Not that it meant she hadn't… She had just enough time to drag herself out of bed and squirrel away her weapons before her nurse came in. Just enough time to start wondering how the hell she and Cloud had screwed that up so badly. And, incidentally, just enough time to wonder whether or not Cloud had gotten out alive, and-or in one piece.
Meh. It was Cloud. He'd be fine.
Yuffie had just told herself that when she arrived at the cafeteria- which was pretty full already, she noted. Cloud was there, talking to some dude. Good; he was alive. Cid was there, also talking to some... was that a dude or a chick? Reno and Rude were gossiping with one another…
Oh, great. So where was she supposed to go?
Pouting, Yuffie piled her plate with whatever random food managed to catch her eye and dived right into the throng of breakfast-goers, looking for somebody even mildly interesting that she could sit with. It didn't take long to find one.
A black haired kid, scribbling something on a piece of paper. Sauntering up behind the kid, Yuffie peered over their shoulder. "Hey," she said. "What'cha up to?"
