It was helpful that Reno was letting him have the leftover metal. That was usually the case, since there wasn't much use for it beyond getting something made, but he appreciated it nonetheless.

Moving over to his desk, Roy flipped open his journal and started drawing out an array. It didn't have to be altered too much from the one he used for swords, so it was done within seconds.
Paper ripped out and in hand, Roy moved over to the bed to grab the metal and then move it down to the floor, sliding the paper underneath the pile.
"It's going to be bright," he warned, figuring he should give the man a moment to brace himself.
