NIGHTSHIFT 33: F11-F20 HALLWAY

For a moment, Renamon paused. That was more unsettling than she'd care to admit. She needed to get out of here.

Ignoring her instinct to leave the small cramped room immediantely, she snatched at her map again, and made some adjustments to her night's plan. Still, weapons first, and for that she had to move. She grabbed three pens and stuck them in the waistband of her pants, and held a fourth in her hand with the flashlight. It wouldn't come on for a little bit. She knew this part.

She didn't know what was going on. Not at all. It was bothering her, and setting her on edge; nicely ruining the calm she had worked to achieve.

Don't think, Renamon. Move.

Tch. Like Alkaid cared about all of the stuff going on on the intercom right now - even though the thought of the hacked mainframe made her inwardly gleeful. She'd seen those walls when she was out there, hadn't she? Yeah, that seemed like a good place to go.

When she checked under her pillow for her flashlight today, though, there was nothing there. Nothing! At all. Not even a little note that said someone had taken it. She eyed the lump in the other bed, considering waking Sleeping Beauty up, but nah. She didn't wanna deal with that.

Oh, that was it. She'd dropped it. Last night, when she was attacked...

Alkaid's hand subconsciously drew up to her neck. Damn, that had been pretty bad. She hadn't seen Claire or Clark today, or even that stupid Badou.. Claire had lived through the night, right? Alkaid sure hoped so. That would suck if she'd just let someone die in front of her. Even though Clark had seemed okay, from how he was shouting.. Heh. All because of her idea, too.

Yeah, she was pretty much the best. Even if she had no flashlight...

She exited the hallway, flashlight-free, and started walking. Yeah, yeah, dangerous, whatever, but there was still the chance of being able to run like hell.
