Melissa just ignored the first part. That had been precisely her point, and she didn't see fit to retort and get into some kind of pointless argument. She winced at the foreign irritation, but other than that there was no reaction.

"Weapons." Melissa frowned, raising an eyebrow. "You're going to stay and fight anything that attacks?" She gestured towards the door leading away from the rooms. "There's a courtyard that way. I'm going to look for a way out of here, and I'm going to run from anything big with sharp teeth." Her tone was a little condescending, but her body language clearly indicated that the witch was free to come. Even Melissa knew that traveling alone in a place like this wasn't a very good idea.
