John laughed, relieved that she had bought that horrible lie that made him sound like such a dork. He rubbed his cheeks and picked up his fork, turning back to his breakfast. "Yes, we are goofs," he said. "Especially when we're together. Mom doesn't know half of the trouble we get up to."
