Day 31: Sun Room (Fourth Shift)

Though perhaps not entirely as successful as he wanted it to be, Homura walked away from lunch feeling satisfied with his efforts. Roland and Fai both had shown interest in the goal, and that was enough for the moment. Homura could be patient, had already been for five hundred years, and felt no harm in waiting another five hundred if he had to. He would have his goals realized, no matter what obstacles he faced, be they from the prison or those trapped within.

But now was time for business of a different sort, and the demi-god made his way to the Sun Room, near the common board. He made sure he could be seen from the entrance to the cafeteria, knowing that one stranger and one member of his own group both wanted to meet with him. It worked out well enough, especially given that the stated purpose of the History Club was simple.

Revenge and escape.

For now, Homura had no intention of revealing that it'd grown more complicated than that.

Settling down in a seat, Haku made himself comfortable without invading the man's probably WIDE personal space.

"Worm?" He smiled at that, his tone light and friendly. "That's a new one for me." Glancing over for a moment, he laughed softly. "Forgive me, though, if I don't take it as an insult."

"Hmph, take it however you want." Albel scoffed. To him, a worm was some worthless creature, easy to be crushed by the stronger ones. If this girl wanted to take it differently, fine. Whatever. Why whould he care?

"I've heard so much worse, that being compared to a creature that, though small, is actually very helpful to the world at large why..." Haku beamed. "It's really quite the compliment." He shrugged.

"Though I know you didn't mean it that way."

"Tch, whatever, worm." Albel answered, rolling his eyes. "Like I care." Since when did such trivial things actually matter, anyway? This was pointless.

Haku kept smiling, nodding. "Have you been outside?"

"Does it matter, worm?" Albel shot back. Really, why did this stupid girl ask such silly, unimportant questions?

[identity profile] faithful-frost.livejournal.com 2008-04-13 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Haku shrugged. "I was simply curious. Some of the more aggressive monsters were are usually placed outside, and there was talk of two sheds, which might be important."

He smiled, unaffected by Albel's harsh tone and personality. "I haven't seen much outside myself, but I was wondering if a fighter like yourself had. Perhaps an exchange for information." He laughed lightly behind his hand and shrugged again."But if you haven't been that far, or you don't wish to talk about it, I won't pry."

"There's the recreational field and the courtyard, worm. What's so interesting about those sheds?" Albel scoffed. "Unless you wanna waste your time growing flowers or playing a ballgame, I don't see what's so interesting about those."

Of course, he hadn't been to the greenhouse or the grounds around it yet. But right now, he was more curious about the basement.

(stupid enter key)

Worm again, huh? Haku was not impressed by his use of names, but he smiled anyway.

"Well, I don't know what's so interesting about the sheds. Though, I do know that I pair of shears, a spade, poisons, and basic gardening tools would certainly come in handy. If that's what is really in them after dark." Haku shrugged lightly again.

"So many people are heading down lately, it's a wonder anyone is getting anything done."

"Heading down?" Albel asked. "You mean the basement, fool?"

He heard the entrance to be somewhere in the kitchen, which meant most scum went through the sun room. More often than not, some tough opponent would be standing guard.

"Of course," Haku smiled. "Whatelse could I mean?" His tone wasn't sarcastic, or hostime in anyway, but something in his expression gave off the impression that he was wondering just who was the 'fool' here.

"People are abandoning all previous searches and goals for this new one. It's all very interesting"
