Within a matter of seconds the very small room became very crowded with people. Kurogane had watched the chaos involved with each person's entry, matching faces with names being said for later reference. The blond seeing to Fai was Tamaki, and Kurogane knew he'd seen the Shana girl in the room Fai had run out of last night. The boys with brown hair he matched for "Shadow" and "Kyon" easily, not recognizing either one, and the remaining blond had still yet to be identified. Four out of five in such a short amount of time was not bad, however.

After watching things unfold and then hearing Tamaki's request, Kurogane came to the decision that he should move out into the hallway. There was no reason for him to just keep standing there doing nothing. He could just as well wait outside until Tamaki finished, then come back in to take Fai to another room and clear some space in the crowded room. And that's what he would do.

He'd just taken a step towards leaving when he felt something tugging at the base of his shirt. Thinking his shirt had only gotten snagged on something, he looked back to pull it lose, but stopped when he saw the pale fingers grasping at the gray fabric. "Just what do you think you're doing, Magician?" he asked, tone slightly annoyed. Fai was out of luck if he expected Kurogane would stay like the kid might for the Princess. It wasn't until he moved his eyes from Fai's fingers up to his face that Kurogane saw the reason for the other's actions. Pain was written all over his expression, clearly seen even in the sadder expression prior to wincing at it.

The fabric pulled tighter on Kurogane's shirt; Fai's hand wouldn't be easily removed even if Kurogane tried. Expression hard, he gave the door another look, then gave Tamaki one as well to see what he was doing, and finally ended with his eyes again on Fai. After a moment, he let out a near-silent grunt. "Fine."

Moving his hand as he'd intended to earlier, he wrapped his fingers around Fai's thin wrist as though he were about to force the hand away. He didn't do anything past that though. He only kept his hand around Fai's wrist, just holding it there while Fai clung at his shirt, and didn't leave.
