Kairi had been happy to go and speak to someone new, so when Renji had dragged her towards the other table, she went willingly.

Sitting down next to Renji (she suddenly felt bad for being all bandaged up – she was sure she looked frightening to the young man who she sat across from) Kairi flashed the boy her brightest smile. “Hello. I hope we’re not bothering you or anything. It’s just … you were alone and all, so we thought we’d come and say hi!”
