As soon as she had made the outburst, Anise regretted it. This place was getting to her, even while she knew she couldn't let it. She took a deep breath to calm herself and gave Barret a sheepish grin. "Sorry. We're all in the same boat, right? It's no use worrying about the details so much." It wasn't fair to dump her troubles on a guy who sounded like he had enough problems as it was, especially while he was trying to help her out. Besides, she had way more important things to worry about than a few inconsistencies.

Leaning on the table with her hand under her chin, she glanced around the cafeteria. Anise had been ignoring the brawl until now, assuming it would come to as quick an end as all the others she'd seen. But more and more people kept joining in, and it was beginning to turn into an all-out riot...

"Oh no!" Anise cried as she shot up from her seat, as though struck by a sudden realization. "Ion! He better not get caught up in this..." Anise had figured it would be fine to let the Fon Master out of her sight during breakfast, since nothing ever really happened during the day. Nothing until now, that was. This was just her luck!

She knew Ion would try to stay out of trouble, but trouble always had a knack for finding him. If she could just get a glance of him, to see he was all right...! But as she turned her head to look about the room, she found she couldn't see over all the people standing to react to the chaos.
