Hitsugaya shook his head slightly. "One of the terms of this prison for my people is that any use of our reiatsu at all tears through this gigai painfully." He sighed. "You get used to it."

He caught Artemis and the girl out of the corner of his eye...making a break for the hall. He looked after them. "What the hell?!?!" he said, wondering just how much Fowl had lost his marbles. "Damnit, Fowl, you're in no condition to make a break for it like that!"

He stood up instinctively, but thought the situation over. There wasn't anything he could do for the boy at this point. The nurses wouldn't buy, "I'm just trying to help the kid," and while he was very stealthy when he wanted to be, he couldn't play possum like Artemis had.

Still, maybe he'd get lucky. It was a better plan than joining the fray...
