A creature that mimicked appearance -- huh, that was news to Sasuke. And Aidou spoke as if there had been quite a few reports of these things, so it seemed as if they were common enough monsters. As far as disposing of it off a balcony went, that was a little less common, but probably something that could be expected from Aidou.

The terse way Aidou ended the story was fine with Sasuke; he'd gotten what he needed to know.

"So if Doyle can travel freely and knows the layout of the place, he presumably knows what is contained in each room or area," Sasuke commented, forgetting the second half of his breakfast in favour of one of the most successful conversations he'd had in a while. "And he's handing out keys, we can probably assume that the locked doors he's not letting us into contain things he might not want us to see."

As for what those were, though ... more experiments? Monsters? Whatever they'd used to capture all of the patients? (What they'd taken from the patients?)

And if there was information Doyle was withholding for some reason, there was a possibility that the his rivalry with the Head Doctor could be useful to the patients.
