Hermione was still disoriented as she scanned the cafeteria, not bothering to grab any breakfast. She wasn't hungry, and nothing looked very appealing anyway. What she wanted to do was get a better grip of the situation. She wanted all the facts, and she had a feeling they weren't going to come from the staff. What rubbish, saying her parents had stuck her here.

However, there was no telling if any of the other patients here were insane or not, at least at this point, so Hermione chose an empty seat that was still close enough to others to catch snippets of conversation.
