"Mm. Acetaminophen, I think." It was so strange, to see Seishirou acting concerned just as he always had. It was hard to tell if he meant it or not, knowing what Subaru knew, but... he knew Subaru knew, so why bother with the charade? But if he did actually care, how could he have done the things he did? It was more than enough to make Subaru's feverish head spin.
Seeing Seishirou's glance at his tray, Subaru reddened slightly and made an effort to eat a little more. It was habit, as much as anything else.
And then came the question Subaru expected, but dreaded nonetheless. He wasn't looking forward to explaining what happened to Hokuto, either. But if he refused, Seishirou would just go drag the information out of someone else, so nothing for it, really. "I ran into a monster in the kitchen." No point mentioning that he had gone looking for people in need of aid, he'd just get scolded.
"Everyone got away eventually, but it was smart and fast, so it did a bit of damage first. It's not so bad, just my leg. But I used magic, and it wore me out." Minimal details were the best way to go--hopefully enough to satisfy Seishirou's curiosity, but not enough to get anyone in trouble.
