Hanyuu was more than a little surprised to find herself waking in bed. She knew from the previous days that night ended abruptly, but she hadn't expected it to end so soon after Arlene and the others had returned with Mion. It seemed she had escaped the scolding she was certain Arlene would have given her too, although... she had the distinct feeling the woman wouldn't let that go so easily.
At the moment, though, that didn't matter. The only thing that mattered was Rika. Hanyuu needed to find her friend and let her know what she had learned last night. She needed to tell her that this place really wasn't that different from Hinamizawa... The only important difference was: Rika was no longer the primary target. Anyone could be selected. And, if anyone could be selected, then anyone could--
No! The former spirit shook her head, wanting to get away from that particular thought. The years had taken most of Hanyuu's optimism, but Mion was alive. She had survived whatever torture they had put her through, and that had to mean they still had a chance.
People had already started to gather inside the cafeteria, which wasn't a good thing as that made trying to locate Rika difficult. After a moment of looking around, she finally moved to an empty table. If need be, she could always leave a message on that bulletin board.
Nodding, as though confirming her own idea, Hanyuu took a bite of a roll-- and she couldn't help but give a small squeal when she tasted the sweetness of it. She hadn't thought they would ever give anything sweet, and that would've normally been enough to lift her mood. Today, however, she couldn't let herself get distracted so easily.
