Day 29: Sun Room

It was with some relief that Yuuhi awoke the next morning, in his own bed, sore and tired and achy.  He would've slept more had they let him, his face down in the pillow, away from all the others and their questions and their concern.  He didn't want to see them, but he managed a little smile when the nurse came in and didn't object when she lead him out into the open hallway that had been splattered with blood, plenty of it his, just last night.

The Chapel or the Sun Room?  He felt he had good reason not to be terribly religious and had a feeling he wouldn't be very welcome there anyway.  The Sun Room would be nice though.  It was bright and cheery and he could always doodle or write notes on the community board if he'd nothing better to do.  Besides, the nurse was kind enough to let him take a book with him.

He found a seat on one of the couches, far from the entrance and seated himself in the far corner, legs scrunched up against his chest so he only took up one of the cushions.  He opened up where he'd left off, fingers carefully turning the worn pages  of Dorothy and the Wizard in Oz.

Luxord blinked at the Freeshooter, obvious blinded. With science. trying to comprehend just why the other was bothering with the niceties. It was not as though he'd needed the gunner's help, so the Nobody obviously wanted something out of him. Hmm…

…okay, perhaps that was paranoia speaking. Could they blame him for thinking such things?

But at least the exposition was out of the way. X nodded along with II's words, quietly petting Tyche as she gradually began to calm down. When he finished, Luxord shook his head with practiced ease at VII's question as though he'd not said that obnoxious remark first. "What others, dear Saïx? Did the Superior not teach you the calamities resulting from ambiguous pronouns?"

Saïx gave Xigbar a look that was more disdain than actual annoyance. "All possibilities must be taken into account, Xigbar," he informed the other man coldly. "While I might not question the Gambler's reliability outside of this facility, knowing our powers are weakened changes things. That his results might be erroneous due to that is not so far-fetched, and a reasonable question to ask - as is inquiring into the method by which his results were reached, in order to eliminate that possibility of errors having been made. Whether or not you feel such precautions are redundant means nothing to me - and, as I meant nothing personal by my inquiries, your defense of Luxord is needless and a waste of our time. In any case, once he assured me mistakes were not a possibility, it ceased to be a concern, so there is no need whatsoever to persist. I have already moved on; do try to keep up."

His scathing gaze then turned upon Luxord. "What others matter? The rest of the Organization. What have your cards told you of them?"
