"Your empty sulking impresses no one, X," Saïx observed absently, not really paying it much attention at all; he was busy contemplating. He still wasn't clear how, exactly, Luxord's cards could specify the difference between death and disappearance without telling him what exactly had taken place, but truthfully, it didn't much matter. While understanding their abilities as Nobodies was certainly helpful, it had always taken a back seat to working towards regaining their hearts - after all, the quicker they managed that, the sooner such knowledge of Nobodies would become irrelevant to them in any case.

In the meantime...Xemnas was gone. Not permanently, perhaps, but that nevertheless meant that Saïx was no longer able to take a passive role - he could no longer simply enforce someone else's will. He was Xemnas' right hand, and in the Superior's absence was required to act in his stead. He neither embraced nor resented the sudden responsibility - it was simply something he accepted because there was no other recourse. Xigbar was the only other possible candidate, and he was unfit for the job - in fact, it was entirely likely he wasn't interested in it even to such degree as a Nobody could be interested.

"What of the others?" he asked finally, deciding that he'd prefer to hear the extent of Luxord's knowledge before asserting his authority as the second-in-command.
