Nightshift ended before Omi had a chance to answer Yohji. He wasn't exactly unhappy about that. Waking up with his back bandaged and aching, he'd had plenty of time to wonder what he might have said. Sorry for relying so much on the others? For being in the way? For not being who he should be? He wasn't even entirely sure where the ideas behind all of those came from, something from before maybe. Did that mean he might be remembering something?
Did he want to remember something, if it came with feelings like those?
His circular thoughts were interrupted when he finally noticed that Kurama wasn't in his bed, and the bed was made like it hadn't been slept in. Kurama.. had something happened?
A nurse arrived to tsk over his injuries and usher him out into the hallway before he could start dwelling on anything more. He was feeling unusually listless, although his back probably had more than a little to do with that, so the nurse took him to the sun room and told him to relax quietly for a while. If he was good, he might even get a surprise later.
He settled into a chair, being careful of his back, too tired to even worry about what sort of 'surprises' Landel's might have.
