Allen was hesitant to return to the bus after the trip. He knew just where it was going to take him and even if the bus was really, really neat, he didn't want to go back to the institute.

What if she got hurt?! What if they took her and he'd never even know until it was too late! What if Renji and the others needed their help!
Without the message board around to drop notes, he was lost. Had there been anything in town? It was far too late now. He sunk a little lower in his seat and the pace at which he ate slowed, but didn't stop. Maybe he would get lucky and one of the others would wind up on the bus too.
