Even among the weird weapons used back home, a slingshot was a pretty childish weapon, but Usopp had always used it and didn't really like the idea of changing. The new weapon he'd been making plans for before coming here had also been a sort of super-slingshot. Then again, he did fire the cannons on the ship too sometimes, maybe that counted...
