Worse than being tackled from behind by an overreacting Bella (which was not terribly unwanted, in comparison) and waking up with no memory of how he got back to the room (or how he was able to sleep in the first place, though at least he still had the bag of supplies) was the fact that his nurse was all too happy to give him a very pitiful human breakfast and lead him out into the sunlight.
The only saving grace was the woman had provided him a hooded sweatshirt, along with a more comfortable outfit of jeans and a t-shirt. Arguing turned out to be a waste of breath. The situation was dissatisfactory on both ends, and no amount of worrying was going to help.
In defeat, Edward followed the nurse obediently, hood practically plastered over his head while keeping his hands in the pockets of the sweatshirt. At least the weather suited the actions; an autumn coolness, with a strong breeze. He picked a bus from random, hurrying in to find a seat somewhere near the back.
Once he saw Bella, Edward carefully plopped down next to her, trying to smile as well as he could, amidst the circumstances. "Good morning," Edward said, slinking down in the seat, keeping his hands situated firmly in his pockets.

Today was going to be very uncomfortable.
