Alfons, all things considered, had made out pretty well. He hadn't been injured in the fight, much to his surprise, and the clothes he'd gotten were exactly what he usually wore- white shirt, slacks, suspenders, and the usual shoes as well. With a sack lunch and a bright morning, it almost felt like when he was studying under Mr. Oberth. Almost.
But the buses were utterly unlike anything Alfons had ever seen, and his blue eyes were wide as he walked around it. It... it looked so futuristic! So post-modern! Alfons wanted to know how it worked, how it went, what it could do! Alas, the nurse kindly yet firmly moved the German onto the bus, wherein there were enough shiny new things to distract him and keep him moving. The floor was made out of some strange material, the seats were also different than what he'd expect, and there were lights, and... and it was all really strange.
At least there was a familiar face there. Sliding into the seat opposite of Miku's- as it was terribly impolite to sit right next to a girl!- he smiled at her. She looked well enough, what more could be asked for? And her outfit was... was a lot nicer than his. "Ah, good morning, Miku," he quietly said, feeling suddenly bashful. This was, after all, the first time they'd seen each other out of the shapeless gray of Landel's clothes.
