As much as Jade disapproved of having Peony set out while he still sustained his injury, he simply didn't have the resources to actually bolt the blond's door shut. In fact, he didn't approve of the latter stepping out of his room at all, but it was a matter he would have to bear with. For now, he had other things to worry about.

Like the full body suit his Majesty was tugging on the moment he stepped in. Even in the darkness the outfit had been like a painful beacon of light, jettisoning from all directions and burned into his eyes. And, as Guy had already mentally predicted, Jade was more than happy to offer a few well-chosen words.

"I'm sure that outfit would do more to attract monsters than women." Honestly, if Peony had been wearing that the night before then it was only obvious why he'd gotten attacked in the first place.

At Guy's next question, the Colonel lifted his right arm up to show exactly where he'd kept the bat. The gesture may have been smooth, but he was well aware of the weight it added to his exposed limb. It would've done him good to summon it out of his system as soon as possible, but he ultimately chose to keep it for a little while longer.

"Shall we get going then?"
