Nightshift 27: Hallway outside of M1-M40 block

Recluse stopped at the agreed upon meeting spot, scanning the halls for any sign of Marcus. Typical. Of course he'd be made to wait. He found a spot that was darker than most, hands clenching and unclenching as he waited, seething.

Kakashi said nothing in response to the radio's message, but he immediately agreed with Sasuke's previous use of the phrase less coherently.

He was glad to find that his movement wasn't impeded much, not when it came to stealth, at least, and he automatically minimized his shifting and the noise from it. Continuing to follow, he noted Sasuke's method of movement.

"Tell me if you want to switch," he said shortly. Doing so would ultimately mean having to sacrifice some of his silence for Sasuke's sake, but if it couldn't be helped, it couldn't be helped.

"I know the way," Sasuke said shortly. His pride stung at the offer (though he wouldn't admit it), enough that he tried closing his eyes again. It had helped last night when he was sparring with Naruto; it might help now.

If nothing else, it helped him focus a little bit more -- focus on hearing, rather than devoting attention to eyes that were useless. Maybe he should have made a blindfold. Still following the wall, he led them towards the end of the hall.
