Clark didn't remember falling asleep. There was Usopp and the others, and the threat of something in the fridge, and then...nothing. Day light streamed through the windows. It took a moment to register the fact that his eyes were open. Another to realize that there was someone else in the room with him, and that the sound they were making was...a sob?
Sitting up, Clark looked around, for a second confused. This was the second time he'd blanked out, with no memory of how he'd gotten back or how to account for the missing hours, and he'd be lying if he said he wasn't starting to get a little freaked out. Getting freaked out's gonna have to wait, Clark thought, just noticing the state of his roommate. Leon's face was ghostly white, which would've been a big heads-up even if Clark hadn't then noticed the hand.
Leon's hand was bandaged. But he didn't need x-ray vision to see that he was missing fingers.
Clark jumped to his feet. "What happened?" he demanded.
