Sparda raised an eyebrow slightly at Hiei's reaction and shook his head.

"That is not it at all. I do not need anyone to be my servant, nor do I wish to have one. If you would rather work alone, that is entirely your choice." Sparda wasn't particularly happy with that choice, but it was Hiei's choice to make.

That didn't mean he wouldn't still help Hiei if the younger demon needed his help.
