"I awoke here last night." The frown returned to his face as the questions Kurama had answered--and the ones he hadn't--flowed through his mind again. Most important was finding the bastard responsible and making him suffer for his transgression, something that would be all the harder with Kurama acting like a spoiled human brat.

Hiei cast a glance in the fox's direction, Kurama's red hair hard to miss. He was alone, and the demon couldn't help but feel a smug satisfaction at that. Abandoned by all his human friends. Poor, poor Kurama.

"I've heard about the true nature too." His attention back on his food, Hiei pushed the thoughts of Kurama out of his mind. When the fox realized what a fool he was being, he'd seek Hiei out. Until then, it was merely a waste of energy to worry about him.
