"That's fine." Hijikata said evenly. He wasn't about to fall into pointless argument over names. If he wanted to, he could easily make something up, and the same could be said for the man across from him. Better to search elsewhere for information like that.

The next order of business would be to find -- "Put that down." He barked, admonishing despite the surprise. He brought an arm up to shield his eyes against the sudden burst of light, but it was too late by then. His night vision was completely shot, and there were black spots dancing in front of his eyes.

Hijikata relaxed and made himself ready to move or fight. "It matters very little to me who you are. Stay out of my way, and I will stay out of yours."
